On this episode, I’m sitting down with Javier Sinobas of Sinobas Amplification. We talk about how he influenced the creation of this show, how we met our wives, the deepest losses and how they change us and sometimes inspire us, and the ways we show up for one another.
This was recorded live on Instagram on March 11, 2021. Follow @sarahneczwid on Instagram to catch the episodes live each week before they’re officially released. Can’t wait for the release date? Check out the unedited interview on IGTV or YouTube.

Another amazing instrument builder out of North Carolina, Timothy Roberts, who owns Reverie Drums, Stick Ring Percussion, and Mod Cymbals. Drummers… check this cat out. I’ve got lots of Stack Ring pieces and just had a crash cymbal modded by him. Outstanding.
Ian Martin Allison is an awesome bassist, incredible dude, and one of Javier’s favorite Instagram accounts. You can see the Sinobas Instagram Live Interview they did here.
Javier and I both find solace in music. It’s magical to me the way music helps us process our emotions, how we can find the feelings we need to express in a piece of music writtem often about an entirely different subject. Friend, this is why we do what we do. Music is possibly the most powerful form of communication humans created. Here are the two songs Javier mentioned that have helped him as he’s worked through the loss of his son,
Lewis Capaldi “Before You Go” and Chris Stapleton “Broken Halos”.
If you are hurting, I want you to remember that you are not alone. Grief can be all consuming and often makes us feel isolated. That can sometimes spin us out of control. If you’re at that point please reach out for help. There is no shame in needing support because we ALL need it sometimes. You can always reach out to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration hotline at 1-800-662-HELP (4357). Please don’t go through it alone.
Thank you so much for listening!
